Often nicknamed the Golden Triangle Cruise, this legendary itinerary brings together the three most iconic dive sites in the Red Sea: Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone. For experienced divers, these three letters—BDE—instantly evoke unforgettable memories or an irresistible urge to embark on this unique adventure. These remote sites offer a total immersion into spectacular underwater landscapes and exceptional encounters with pelagic wildlife.

Departure: Hurghada or Port Ghalib
Your journey will begin from Hurghada (or Port Ghalib, depending on the boat’s location). Upon boarding, you’ll be welcomed by our experienced crew and settled into our comfortable, fully equipped liveaboard, ready to take you to the Red Sea’s most secluded gems.

The Brothers Islands: An Isolated Jewel

Located 70 km east of El Quseir, the Brothers Islands (Al Ikhwan or El Akhawein) are two barren islets rising from depths of over 500 meters. Their isolation and exposure to currents make them a prime gathering spot for pelagic species, ranking these islands among the world’s top 10 dive sites.

• Big Brother:
  Topped by a Victorian lighthouse built in 1880, Big Brother is home to two legendary wrecks:

  • The Numidia: A 145-meter English cargo ship, sunk in 1901, lies between 15 and 80 meters deep. Its cargo of railway equipment and imposing structure make it a fascinating dive.

  • The Aïda: A 75-meter Egyptian vessel, sunk in 1947, rests vertically, offering a unique exploration of its holds accessible from 25 meters.

• Little Brother:
  Smaller but equally captivating, Little Brother features dramatic drop-offs covered in corals and gorgonians, where gray reef sharks, whitetips, and schools of barracudas put on an awe-inspiring underwater ballet.

Daedalus: The Reef of Majestic Encounters

Located 100 miles south of the Brothers, Daedalus is a circular reef topped by a manned lighthouse. Less frequented but just as spectacular, this site is renowned for encounters with ocean giants:

• Hammerhead sharks, manta rays, eagle rays, and barracuda schools are common in Daedalus’ nutrient-rich waters.

• The western drop-off, covered in soft corals and black coral, hosts a vast colony of anemones and clownfish, while the coral pyramid near the jetty offers a magical snorkeling spot.

• A mysterious wreck lies north of the reef, reserved for technical divers with specialized gas mixes.

Elphinstone: The Grand Finale

Finally, Elphinstone Reef crowns this cruise with breathtaking underwater landscapes. Accessible only by liveaboard, this site is famous for oceanic whitetip sharks and hammerheads.

• Elphinstone North: A plateau descending to 25 meters, followed by a terrace at 45 meters, where currents attract pelagic fish.

• The eastern and western walls, covered in giant gorgonians and black coral, teem with marine life.

• For divers certified to 55 meters, exploring Elphinstone’s arch is an unforgettable experience.
